Homecoming Bonfire

Konosioni members never miss an opportunity to pair torches with tradition! On the Friday evening of Homecoming weekend this past October, we gathered at the chapel to lead a procession down to Whitnall Field and set the enormous pile of wood alight to officially begin Homecoming festivities! After arriving on the field, we threw our torches into the pile and soon enough an enormous bonfire began (Don't worry, the Hamilton Fire Department was on hand and kept a close eye, as well as many of the Department's Colgate student volunteers, including one of our own Konosioni members, Andrew!). Lots of students began to gather around the fire, and the Alumni Affairs office was on hand to pass out different Colgate cheering regalia that students could use at sporting events to cheer on the Raiders! Plus, there was toll house cookie pie and hot chocolate... what more could you want on a cold autumn eve? There were even some Konosioni Alumni from the class of 2012 around to help bring on the Homecoming cheer!
